Maja Li Härdelin
Maja Li Härdelin, born in 1989 in Delsbo, currently lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. Her artistic journey, with filmmaking as its foundational starting point, delves into the intricate and often unspoken narratives within personal and domestic realms.
Härdelin explorations extend to installations that juxtapose the familiar comfort of ordinary stuff with slightly peculiar elements, often reference everyday scenes subtly altered—like an out-of-place object or an unexpected sound—prompting contemplations of hidden layers within intimate spaces and relationships.
Härdelin’s academic background includes an MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, earned in 2023, and a BA from the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, completed in 2020. Her work has been featured in various esteemed venues, including the Institute Funder Bakke Funder, Kunstraum Schwaz, Gallery Q, Sans Souci, and Salon 75, among others.
