“Back to Future”

Back to Future is René Block’s farewell exhibition as artistic director of 44Møen.

For “Back to Future”, René Block draws connections – as he often did in his practice –between artists of different generations and parts of the world: With Gülsün Karamustafa Block invites a major position of the Turkish art scene, a scene he has close ties with, and two artists he has been working with for many years. With Christine Moldrickx  and Amanda Ziemele, she is juxtaposed with two artists from a younger generation, and from the other side of Europe.

Together with newer work by these artists the exhibition will also showcase works by the legendary Nam June Paik and John Cage, who will bring the new exhibition space for sound art TonArt to life with their objects and compositions.
